Frequently asked questions
Where does Wilson’s Remediation work?
We serve homes and businesses in Volusia County, including Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, and Edgewater. We also serve Palm Coast and Flagler County.
What does mold remediation involve?
Wilson’s Remediation uses containment, HEPA filtration, and detailed cleaning appropriate to the project. We follow the independent licensed mold assessor’s protocol. The assessor performs post-remediation verification.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. We offer free consultations and second opinions. Remediation pricing depends on the scope and conditions of the property. A consultation is not an independent mold assessment or clearance test. Call 386-316-2042 to discuss your concern.
Why does the moisture source matter?
Mold cleanup must be paired with correcting the water or moisture problem to help prevent recurrence. The EPA explains this connection in its guide to mold, moisture, and your home. Repairs and HVAC work may require a separate qualified contractor.

During my tenure as the Fire Marshal for the City of Port Orange, I saw the work that Wilson's Remediation did for some of the citizens who suffered catastrophic losses, whether it be fire, flooding, etc… because of that, when I had an emergency at my own house that caused a mold problem, I knew exactly who I was going to call. Darren and his crew showed up and did an amazing job. They took extra care to ensure that any areas that needed attention got it, even sealing off the affected area from the rest of the house. I would certainly recommend that anyone who needs help reach out to Wilson’s Remediation sooner rather than later!
Inside the work
Access to affected materials. A technician in protective equipment works with wall and ceiling cavities open. This gives the crew access to materials included in the cleanup plan. See our mold cleanup process.
Separating the work area. A plastic barrier with a zippered entrance separates the work area from the adjacent staircase. Containment helps limit the spread of dust and debris during cleanup.
Working at ceiling height. A worker uses a scissor lift to reach an elevated interior ceiling. Access equipment is selected for the building and the work area.
Looking behind the wall. Removed lower drywall exposes wood framing and sheathing. If hidden growth is found, the crew documents it and coordinates next steps with the independent assessor before expanding the work.
Setting up restoration equipment. Equipment and flexible ducting are positioned beside a kitchen counter. Equipment selection depends on the materials and site conditions. Learn about water cleanup and drying.
